There is something solemn about standing at the grave And certainly, added perspective when you see your name Everything you've said and done in life reduced to stone A measure of a man's not worth but - “did he go alone?” You never know when it's your time. Buried with your paradigms Will you be sold for all you took? Rose pedals trampled underfoot, as people walk away it rains. No one's left to mourn your name A final act, they close the door, a resting place forevermore There is something beautiful about standing at the ledge Not knowing if you'll turn and run or get pushed over the edge If you can't appreciate those moments in your life Then I think it's safe to say that you've already died You don't know what's in the plans The hourglass now drained of sand A clarity of what's at stake When life is something that you fake So, gaze upon the sky and think of chapters blank or filled with ink Forever written, stain the page A legacy that you have made So please don't forget me when I'm gone. So please don't forget me when I'm gone. Underappreciated minutes turn to years and suddenly all that you fear has come to be Mistakes will take their toll and your regrets won't turn to gold Just shed the blindfold now and finally see what it takes to be free Please don't forget me when I'm gone (When we all return to the earth, a reminder of what we were) So please don't forget me when I'm gone (As forms will break and fade, a part of me will always stay behind)

Have you given up this fight? Fallen victim to the plight inside? At the sliver of dawn Will you reckon you’ve been wrong? Alright, deceit lights up the sky What is done is done Can no longer sympathize Watched and waited for so long Words of wisdom all defied So we pivot from the pile of lies The words written on a tattered page This is your life, you don’t want anyone to hold you back So you burn all these bridges, all these books Rubble, ash, and darkness - all that’s left of what you had Does the light from the sun Shine on everything before, or on everything to come? An arc in the sky, and then into night Don’t be so surprised when you find yourself alone Cause what is done is done Can no longer sympathize To no avail, fiction prevails You try so hard to justify And you still deny The words written on a tattered page This is your life, you don’t want anyone to hold you back So you burn all these bridges, all these books Rubble, ash, and darkness - all that’s left of what you had As dusk comes on, can you trust your fading memories? A silhouette of doubt Chapters filled with broken reasoning deceiving you, so read the lines aloud (read the lines aloud) The words written on a tattered page This is your life, you don’t want anyone to hold you back So you burn all these bridges, all these books Rubble, ash, and darkness - all that’s left of what you had When your dead and gone All that’s left of what you had When your dead and gone

Don't put me on a pedestal, I'm bound to fall and crash onto this floor Would anybody care? Would anybody take the time to help? “A waste of time” - it's all perspective. In your head detachment works just fine Admit defeat and hang my head (Cause that's the only way you'll understand) I'm better off just left for dead (Cause I don't think you'll ever understand) Roll the dice now, I'm bound for some good luck I've been down and I don't want to get stuck But it seems like everything's out of my reach Wake me up when everything's lookin' alright Don't need to learn that every choice has its own price I know that nothing is free So please don't lead me on again, cause I'm lost enough as is Confused of where I am No clue or sense of anything around me Compasses that lead to nowhere. Maps to nothing. Are you even there? Call it a loss and walk away (Cause that's the only way you'll understand) And live to see another day (Cause I don't think you'll ever understand). Roll the dice now I'm bound for good luck I've been down and I don't want to get stuck But it seems like everything's out of my reach Wake me up when everything's lookin' alright Don't need to learn that every choice has its own price I know that nothing is free I know that nothing is free Roll the dice now I'm bound for good luck I've been down and I don't want to get stuck But it seems like everything's out of my reach Wake me up when everything's lookin' alright Don't need to learn that every choice has its own price I know that nothing is free

Deathbed 02:30
Perched high upon a gilded throne The first to reprimand and yet the last to know About your lack of worth. You so-called “work of art” Your detriment to all is all you've shown thus far So try a little humility before the curtain falls and everyone will see Just choke down some indignity before we lock the door, throw away every key When everyone stops looking, that's when you hate yourself So blind to counting failure so you blame everyone else Not a moment off your tongue you're thinking “They all believe the lies” I guess it's you that misconstrues indifference in their eyes Is there a fear that no one will be near? When you last exhale the air that gives you life Who will be there? This is the deathbed you made.

Halfway to the bottom and trying to find some salvation The fading light above provides me certain confirmation That the bed of indefinite sleep below is cold yet comforting The purity to breathe even when the guilt is smothering It will be calm in the river tonight. The raging storm fading from your sight So drag the water for what you've left of me Drown the sound of any plea for sympathy Find the pieces, start this recovery Go on my dear and search for the closure that you fear Look down from the misty bank to find reflections in the mirror Of the world upside down; the lucidity of flaws That carry us forward or return us to the way it always was There will be comfort in the wind tonight These burdens drift and fade into the twilight Then drag the water for what you’ve left of me Drown the sound of any plea for sympathy Find the pieces, start this recovery Darkness settles in, I’m sodden and subdued Reminded of a time I was a fire for you We can’t stay the same no matter what we say Life makes us all a martyr anyway

Wishing Well 04:15
I’ll try to see it all from your perspective I’m tired of this terrible charade Covered in my faults slowly coming to a halt Stop the marching of this misery parade Worn out but without a place to rest Tired but I cannot find the sleep Draped in red with what I left unsaid Am I awake or am I stuck inside a dream? If your my wishing well I’m wondering just how far down you go Should I give myself to you Fall into the dark unknown below In all this doubt now, where’s my faith? Obstinate in everything I do Never seem to make the right decision Monotony’s a wall, try to climb it and you fall Why do we scream so loud when no one ever listens? Daggers from your disappointed eyes Change always comes at a cost An aversion to the fix But at the end of all of this I’ll throw a penny in and hope I don’t get lost - (pray I don’t get lost) Cause if you’re my wishing well I’m wondering just how far down you go Should I give myself to you Fall into the dark unknown below In all this doubt now, where’s my faith Where’s my faith You’re my wishing well Wondering just how far down you go Should I give myself to you Fall into the dark unknown below If you’re my wishing well Then I’ll I give myself to you
